2.18.0 Update

  • Testing update for 2.18 features
  • Erasure Coding - Main patch merged; fine-tuning heuristics on when to reconstruct; reconstruction speeds sub-second
  • FTM - Patches refreshed; Lai has been on PTO; Ivan will follow-up when back
  • Large Folio - Shuan has not been active on the patches for a couple of weeks; Patrick will follow-up
  • LQA - NetApp will test; there are several patches still to merge; is it feasible to test?; Ivan will check
  • PCC-RO - ORNL discussing testing this Friday; Andreas to open ticket to track disabling PCC-RW
  • Peer to Peer DMA - ORNL looking for suitable test system
  • SLES16 juggling with other priorities

Upstream Kernel

  • Couple of patches away from being able to use kernel CI

lustre.org

  • Will need to refresh roadmap ahead of SC26; considering using 3.0 for the 2029 releases; MWBC and Metadata Redundancy could be features
