2.17.0 Update

• James splitting up EC patches to make it easier for maintenance; also fixing issues in LOD that have come to light during this development; Chris and James working on IPv6 issues; EC will not be ready in time for 2.17 feature freeze

Upstream Kernel

• Aim to deprecate older kernel support code before 2.17 to help with upstreaming efforts
• Looking to move to kernel doc style

• Introduced cloudflare to protect community infrastructure from overloading due to bots; use lustre-release GitHub mirror if have issues accessing primary git repo
