2.16.0 Release Update

2.17 landings continuing; we will need to review 2.17 features on roadmap ahead of LUG in April

Upstream Kernel

Tim suggested presenting about Lustre at the upcoming Linux Storage Conference in Ottawa. A discussion took place about the upstreaming initiative and James Simmons is also interested in particupating.

Suggestion of refreshing the OpenSFS website to give it a more contemporary look and feel

Other Business

  • Will need to review 2025 survey questions in next couple of meetings
  • Zanhua brought up "super-hidden" proposed feature and some discussion ensued (LU-18615)
  • Next meeting will be Jan 23rd
