2.16.0 Release Update

RC5 looks good in our testing; HPE have reported an issue - LU-18416 - which could be a concern

Issue seems to be in MDT recovery with open replay; unclear scope of the issue, how long this has existed or likelihood of hitting this in production scenarios

Seems to be an issue with newer kernels and foreign objects

Lu-18102 could be related; changes as per the 5.12 kernel impacted foreign object support

Possibly. We will poll the community again in the 2025 survey. The 2024 survey strongly indicated that it was too early for people to think about it.
