Lustre 2.6 Status

Just landed patch for last blocker Triage meeting will figure out if anything new has arrisen If not, will liekly move into code freeze

Cray blocker: LU-5260, patch that introduced it landed recently (past couple of weeks)

Peter thanked Cray for 2.6 testing; has been very helpful.

Cray seeing DNE2 not production ready from their testing.

Lab relocation update

Final Whamcloud server in Boulder being shutdown. Slight outtage of older Maloo data expected during server move.

RHEL7 clients building for master and upstream Lustre client in kernel expected to follow soon.

Misc

Oleg and James talking about merging kernel client and in-tree client, and how to keep them in sync.

Cray working with SLES 12.

Discussion about a new user library Chris emphasized that LLNL wants their LU-2182 patch to land

Landing kernel patches into upstream kernel Sebastien working on one. Looking like it will land. Only leaves two more: MMP and quota improvements.

In-tree design documents

Design documents are now landing in tree for new development features.

Justin on man pages

LU-4315 - Justin working on splitting up lfs man pages

Asked if there was some way to use asciidoc to write man page documents once, and generate man pages. Chris didn't think it could, but pointed out that docbook does have that capability.

Asked some questions about selecting reviewers for patches; we discussed.
