2.17.0 Update

  • Will disable sanity-lnet/410 with master-next landing
  • Hybrid IO nearly complete
  • Need to get Erasure Coding into Gerrit before the end of the month for it to be eligible for 2.17
  • More time available for NRS enhancements
  • RHEL 9.6 likely to GA next week; will probably use that for 2.17 GA

Upstream Kernel

  • RHEL7 janitor dependence almost complete with master-next landings
  • Improvements for upstream building also in master-next

lustre.org

  • No activity

  • Ubuntu 25.04 has the Rust version of coreutils which could be beneficial for Lustre usage
  • Next meeting May 15th
