Minutes

Development Infrastructure Update
Peter

  • Things should now be working as they were prior to the move.
  • Is anyone seeing anything that is not behaving as expected? Anything to sort out?
  • James: Is John Hammond's patch status page now working?

2.12.0 Release Update
Peter

  • Oleg did a batch of landings to master last week, but a bit smaller than usual due to the changes.
  • Has anyone been doing any other testing or have any other 2.12 related feedback?
    • James: ARM wants to see support for ARM servers by SuperComputing.
    • Peter: It seems feasible. We don’t normally publish support on a processor basis but we can aim to speak to it working. Would they be interested in a presentation for LAD?
    • James: It won’t be LAG but perhaps a demo for SC is a good target.
      • Peter: I would suggest to look at using the tip of master at that point in preparation for 2.12. From a POC point view, the latest and greatest would be best.
      • James: Agreed. 2.11 would require other patches to be worked out as well.
    • Christopher: What is latest view of 2.12 GA window?
      • Peter: The original target was October, still trying to hold as close to that as possible with the changes.

Upstream Lustre Client
James

  • A lot of good stuff has gone in and we are testing the branch. We are now up to 2.9 support.
  • Almost all patches up to PFL landing to 2.10 are about ready.
  • It is all piecing together well and we are getting excellent feedback and good technical discussions.
  • A slack channel has been started, but an invitation is needed to join.

lustre.org
Peter

  • Ken is on vacation, so no significant update.
  • We have heard that the videos from LUG are located and on someone’s laptop. They now need to be broken into chunks for posting.
