Minutes

2.9 Release Status/Update
Peter

  • We continue efforts towards reaching code freeze. A few new edge cases have come in from LLNL in their large scale failover testing, as well as a few new issues form our internal stress testing.
  • There are currently 9 blockers at the moment, however, several of those are patchless server.

Upstream Lustre Client
James

  • Merge window is now opening up.
  • Has sent a large set of patches remaining from the 2.5 dev cycle.

lustre.org
Ken

  • Work continues with the host provider on DB issues. After those are resolved will get back to work on the main page.

Other Business

  • Cory: When are we going to look at scoping for 2.10?
    • Peter: We have put a stub in place on the Lustre wiki page, so the process is underway.
  • Cory: Should we have a date where we decide to lock on scope?
    • Peter: This would be ideal, however it is difficult as we don’t want to be exclusive and restrict contenting getting in, but we also need to be sure the supporting information is available for the features like doc and test plan.
      • Cory: Suggests that the web page should show what needs to be provided with the feature in order to have it land.

Next meeting will be on 2016-08-10
