2013 goals:
2015 goals:
Determine what application I/O benchmarks exist and are available for others to use. Note which benchmarks have information published but are not generally available.

Identify I/O patterns that ARE represented in the existing application I/O benchmarks.
Identify applications that exhibit I/O patterns important in applications that are NOT represented in the existing application I/O benchmarks. Consider Pynamic benchmark from CORAL RFP, OpenFOAM, EnergyPlus and NWChem.

Work with Babak Behzad and Marc Snir to see whether the tracing tool they have developed can create an I/O kernel from one or more of these applications.

2014 goals:

2015 goals:

Identify applications that exhibit I/O patterns important in applications that are NOT represented in the existing application I/O benchmarks. Consider Pynamic benchmark from CORAL RFP, OpenFOAM, EnergyPlus and NWChem.

Work with Babak Behzad and Marc Snir to see whether the tracing tool they have developed can create an I/O kernel from one or more of these applications.
